Golden Gate Transit

Golden Gate Transit (GGT) provides regional fixed-route bus service in San Francisco, and in Marin and Sonoma Counties. Bus service is also available between San Rafael in central Marin and the El Cerrito del Norte BART Station in western Contra Costa County. Local bus service is provided within Marin County under contract with Marin Transit.

All Golden Gate Transit (GGT) bus service is operated with lift-equipped buses that have a “kneeling feature” to make boarding easier. Any passenger may request to use the lift or kneeling feature on the bus. Not all GGT bus stops are accessible to wheelchairs. Persons requiring special assistance are encouraged to arrange for a companion to ride with them. GGT provides training in boarding, exiting, and wheelchair securement procedures on GGT buses.
